Banquet on Wednesday

Just a reminder about the banquet on Wednesday.  We would like to start at 6 so please be a little early.  It will be held in the lunchroom at the school.

Team Communication 10/22/15

I cannot lie!  I am soooooooo ticked we are not in the finals? :)

But that is tempered with the pride I have in this team and how they fought the last few weeks and proved to everyone that they not only play some of the best soccer in the state, but they have heart, souls and work ethic of a champion.


Just a few announcements:

Please get your banquet tickets purchased ASAP.  You can either buy them on line (preferred) or give a check to myself, Paige, the Powell's, or Brianna and Kylie.  I will be out of town on business Saturday morning and we must have this complete.  Once you purchase your tickets send an email to myself and Tambi Tueller indicating whether you want Turkey Fried Steak or Chicken Fried Steak.  If you are wondering what you purchased, you can see it on the blog in the banquet page.

Because of a conflict with my work.  I am looking to see if we can move the banquet to Thursday 10/5.  Please send me an email if it will be a problem for you if I move it one day later.


There is a u18 team out of North Ogden looking for players for the winter and Spring.  I do not know anything about them.  He contacted me wanting any Freshman - Juniors that were interested.  The contact info is:

Just a few announcements;

Tuesday's Game

We will have a team breakfast before getting on the bus Tuesday.  If you get up real early you may want to have something before the team breakfast.  Bring the right kind of snacks before the game as well.

Girls at the Middle School will need to get a ride to the high school.  The bus will not go to the Middle School first.

I know I do not need to say it, but everyone should be taking care of themselves before this big game.  Get plenty of sleep, eat right and don't do anything stupid.  :)  

We need a big crowd for Tuesdays game so please get the word out and get all your family members and the community there.   We want everyone to enjoy this!

Banquet

A list of who has purchased banquet tickets is on the soccer blog.  If you have not purchased them yet you can do so on registermyathlete.com or by a check made out to Box Elder Girls Soccer.  We need to have all purchases in by the Friday.

Maddox will be catering this year.  We will need to know if you want Turkey Steak or Fried Chicken. Once you have purchased your banquets tickets please send an email tp Tambi Tueller and myself indicating your preference.

BEES INTO THE SEMIS

We could never be prouder of you team.  Not just for the win, but for the heart, soul and effort that you played with yesterday.  Even if we would of lost, everyone in that stadium knew what we are all about!

Here is the plan for the next couple of days. 

Today, Friday 10/16:  CHANGE IN PLANS!!  No practice, instead we will have a team dinner at 5:00 at the Curtis' home.  IT IS NOT AT 6:00.  I moved it up so girls could do what they needed to do this evening.  The team dinner will last an hour and a half or so.

Monday 10/19:  Training at the regular time, 3:30

Tuesday 10/20: Semi final game, 11:00 AM at Juan Diego High School.  The bus will leave at 8:30.  You will need to go directly to the locker room and get ready to go.  I want to start the team discussion at 8:15.

Wednesday 10/21: Training at the regular time, 3:30

Thursday 10/24: Training at the regular time, 3:30

Friday 10/25:  State Finals, 4:30 at Rio Tinto Stadium.  Details about let out time and bus will be sent out at a later.  We do have 4 girls that will be recognized at half time for Academic All-State.

STATE PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!

We have a big week ahead of us.  Please read this information in its entirety and let me know if you have questions.


Sunday Night Fireside

We will be having a fireside on Sunday night starting at 6:30 at Coach Stevens house.  This is not mandatory but if you will not be attending please let me know.  I would like everyone there if possible.  The fireside will not be denominational but it will be "spiritual" in nature.

It is casual dress and there will be light refreshments (cookies and punch).  We will be outside around a fire so please bring a chair to sit on and dress accordingly.

Shanne Munns' sent a letter home with all the girls for parents.  Please read it.  If you did not get it, please ask your daughter for it.


Banquet

The banquet will be Nov 4th at 6:00 PM in the lunch room at the High School.  Cost for tickets are $8.  They can be bought online or with a check made out to Box Elder High Girls Soccer.

Like last year, I will post a list of who has purchased tickets and how many on the blog under the page "Banquet".  In order to get an accurate count we are asking that you have them purchased by Oct 23rd.  I will be out of town the 24th - Nov 1st so I will not be able to take money after that.


DIET

Next Weeks Schedule

Mon: Training at 3;00.  There will be a game on our field between Bear River and Ben Lomand so we will be done by 5:00.

Tues: State Playoff Game, 4:00 at Salem Hills High,  It is a 2 hour bus ride so we will need to be on the road by 1:00.  Let out time will be 12:15.  Team discussion 12:45.  Bus leaves at 1:00.  We will have a light pregame snack on the bus ride down at 2:30.  After the game we will have dinner in the parking lot before we go home.

Wed:  Training at 3:30

Thur: State playoff game @ TBD

Fri: Training at 3:30

Week of 9/28

Schedule:

Mon: Training 3:30

Tues: Game at Woods Cross, let out time for both schools 1:00. 9th graders will be picked up at the middle school first

Wed: Training 3:30

Thur: SENIOR NIGHT!  Last game at home vs Bonneville.  Lets get a huge crowd out and celebrate our Seniors.    Freshman need to arrange a ride and be to the school by 2:15

Fri: Training 3:30

Sat:  Last day of Jr Bees.   Team building activity in the evening.  Time and place to be announced.  This will be a mandatory event.


Announcements:

We are still having a fight with keeping girls from getting sick.  If you are not feeling good please get to the doctor.  If you have strep throat, stay away from teammates until you are on antibiotics and have been away for 3 days.  If you have the flu, please stay away from teammates until you do not have a fever for at least 24 hrs.


Our last regular season home game is Thursday.  It is Senior Night and your time to pay tribute to the hard work the Seniors have put in for 4 years.  Please help spread the word and lets make it the biggest crowd of the season!


All fees need to be turned in by Friday.  Any one not having paid will not be able to participate the last week of regular season.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a jacket or hoodie or t-shirt with this years logo, please let me know.  If we get enough interest we will take a look at pricing and see what we can do before State Playoffs.  I would estimate that t-shirts would be around $10, hoodies around $20 and jackets around $35.

Fundraising drive is over.  If you haven't turned in money please do so ASAP.   We will be sending out a summary of how much you raised, if you owe or if you do not, and for those that already paid their fees but also got a sponsor, how much of a refund you will be getting.

We are narrowing in on a date for the end of year banquet.  Plan on the first week of November either Wed or Thurs.
